I think at one time we all had the mentallity that harnesses were for pussies but back then we didnt know any different. Im guilty of not using a lifeline but i do always strap in before climbing onto a hang on stand. Just imagine standing up in a hang on stand and a platform cable lets loose. You aint grabbing onto shit to stop your fall, its gonna be like a trap door and you are going down. Its not myself that i dont trust, its treestand craftsmanship and sabotaging scumbags that i dont trust. Buckle up!

i dont trust chinese made tree stands, nor do I trust jerk offs who have screwed with my straps in the past. I do trust a big honkin logging chain held on with a big honking lock... and a lifeline and a big honkin harness.

Jeez. Prayers for the family. This has not been a good year, we are loosing way to many hunters.

Sad to hear, prayers to the family. Did go out once this past season and forgot harness and climbed up without it. Wont happen again. Too many have been lost this year.
