Took a doe tonight after seeing dozens of deer. Set up in a pinch point in front of a winter rye field. Got winded when the wind switched after I was in the stand for 30 min. Had another group make their way along field edge and I had a slam dunk 20 yrd shot at a big doe. Came to full draw let out the "merp" and settled the pin. Missed right over her back. 30 min later three more make their way by and at 25 yrds I stopped the last one and drilled her right behind the shoulder. She went 25 yrds and toppled over dead. I saw several bucks and hopefully I can get one more hunt in before it's over.
