I was just at the one in Paramus and the hunting section seems bare, in the past you were able to get great deals on hunting stuff to clear the floor for whatever sport season is next, I asked the employee who was in the hunting section if they are selling the floor models yet and I was told they do sell floor model but not tree stands, I was told that they throw them out, The store considers it a liability to sell the floor models. What a waste!!!

They likely have it in a closed off trash bin. Stores figure if you take it from the trash, it's one less thing you will buy from them. I remember the good ol' days when you could jump into a 30 yarder, get some quality stuff and have something decent with a few minor repairs!

Been there went over that. They only sell display model tree sarnds to colleagues. However they can sell display crossbows to people. Makes no sense
yup for every rule probably 3 people sued over the issue already. I work writing policy for a large energy company. This is exactly where our policies come from. Policy on calling in sick why? because at least three people did not bother to call in sick. Policy on answering the company phone, why because we give them a phone and at least 3 people did not bother to answer or return calls.

They probably get the ones on display free from the manufacturer. They do not want liability if they are assembled and re-assembled improperly.
I try to avoid that store if I can... Every time I have gone there, I left disappointed..the name says it all... And every store I have been to has the worst staff imaginable.... It's pretty sad when I know more about what the sell then they do..I just hit up a local sports shop or order online..
