9/17 Saturday check in.

First off I'm from Rutherford and was not the person who hit the Mega Million Jackpot.Someone bought the ticket in Rutherford
I was out this morning and had 3 small buck come by between 6:40 and 7 AM. Within 3 yards of my stand. My friend saw 6 buck together. Another guy missed a big Doe. Lots of Deer moving today.

I had that ear infection during the MID SUMMER, fever of 102, pain in the ear, had to goto a ear specialist and get powerful antibiotics,lasted for 2 weeks, and the ringing was there for over 1 month

On stand 4:45 am and settled in by 5:15. 5:55, Shooting time in 15, WHAT the heck , some dude strolling in stinking up the path the deer will cross. I shine my light and he veers off 100yds up wind. I know anything going his way will turn. 11 am getting ready to call it quits when I spot a deer in front about 50 yds walking towards the other guy. Gets half way between him and I and starts acting nervous,tuns and walks bsack the way it came, then started heading away down the mountain. I hit my call twice and it turned, started towards me and stopped 35-40 yds out behind some brush. I hit the call again and put it away, getting ready for my 2nd doe. 15 yds AND it's a little buck:D, Well it was fun grabbing him in, and the other guy probably never even seen it. Well that's public hunting. They should have a rule, No roaming around 1/2 before-1 hour after sunrise. you snooze you loose. JMO.

I got my second doe tonight we were in the woods pretty late all the check in stations were closed by then i have her on a few bags of ice and first thing in the morning i will be waiting for the sport shop to open.
This warm weather sucks but i cant sit home when the season is open.

way to go LifeHog... I was out Saturday afternoon, and the weather was ok. around 5 it started to cool down. Had a 4pointer come in and didn't give me a shot. This 4 pointer looks to be 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 yr old. He has a small belly & his chest is starting to build up.He looks like a 4 pointer that keeped coming in on me last year.

Got out yesterday afternoon and sat in the sauna. Had a small rain shower come through which helped a little, but only saw a fawn and a few turkeys. Not much sign around either, I think it's still just too warm for them to move much.

Lifehog. You can skin that deer and butcher him. Just bring the head and hide to the check station. When I checked my Doe in on Sept 11 (Sunday) there was a guy there that had his head and hide. Can't take the chance of wasting a good Deer.

I did call and leave a message i didnt know that you could just bring the hide and head though, thats a good idea with this hot weather.
Shes all cut up already i checked her in first thing this morning i had bags of ice in her all night.
