This was accomplished through a bicycle club and one the Kings Grant Associations that did not allow for public comment since it was not announced on the agenda, the town council and zoning board then approved a 250000 dollar bike path that goes from the old utility road to Tomlinson mill rd. I would love to see a few organizations come together to fight this as it discriminates against one outdoor activity over another based strictly on opinion however all residents tax dollars paid for the land and its improvements.

Bucknut - not the best way to coexist with the yuppie dog walkers but I understand. Hunter 1815 - I agree - we need to get something together to have this changed. I pay a lot of tax money and there is room for all in the woods. I had thought we might have more success seeking hunting for bow only... but some here may not agree. Either way, we should get together. Please ask any township hunters you know to get on here and we can start a petition and be heard at the next council meeting. I'll volunteer to stand up and speak. I also know the Dutchers - they are pretty cool. I'll find out more. pm me if you have anything private to add on this or just post here. Township councils do what they want and ignore the state laws. Gloucester Township passed a 1500 feet no discharge law a few year back. Even though 450 feet is the state law for hunting. The 1500 feet basically makes it illegal to hunt anywhere within the township. They know the ordinance is probably illegal under state law but don't care because it is unlikely anyone will make the effort to challenge it.

that in its self is bull !!!! As far as coexisting if I was hunting I would have been a lot more cordial . But I wasn't . And just cause I had camo on does that mean I am a hunter ? And gives them the right to break my balls .

I said I understand.

It is illegal to harass a legal hunter. Next time film that... The non-hunting public are completely clueless... I've been yelled at by several...

Anyone know a good pro bono hunting attorney that will offer procedural advice?

First thing you do is contact that county's members of the Federation of Sportsmen. They can help to take on your town with facts and the correct people within the state division to contact, they will come with you to speak to your town counsel. Results come in numbers, this is why the Federation exists and why we as hunters support them. They will be able to reach out to many hunters in your town and make them aware of whats going on with their rules. Some may be influential within your town.

Here is the link to the people who can help you fight the town.

If the township is regulating hunting on it's own properties they are within their rights. They cannot regulate hunting on private propery as it is governed by state law. If they try to do it some other way it is also illegal, ecause a township can't do by indirection what it can' do directly.

Could be they saw $$$ gong down the drain if the maps and hunting were free. Most towns are now charging to hunt public land, IMO thats wrong because we already own that land, but thats whats going on.
