Can't use anything bigger than 25 cal on yotes so they are about as big as you can get and you need 80 grain or lighter projectile no matter what caliber you choose. Unlike the woodchuck regs. Not sure why the state didn't just adopt the woodchuck rifle regs for coyote as well.
Oh true I was thinking of the wood chuck regs I think that's 100 gr bullet for them I knew it was 80 for yotes

If you want to shoot anything bigger than a 25-06 or .257 weatherby your prob gonna have to hand load. Remington used to make .22 cal sabot loads for the 30-30, 308, and 30-06 but they have been discontinued and are tough to find other than through gun broker or maybe a gun show.
I have some 30-30 sabots. I'm not gonna shoot them though, just for my collection. The rounds are not very accurate according yo many.

Tom, check out the .204 Ruger cartridge. On rifle specifics, check out the Cooper Phoenix. High quality custom at an attractive price. Another alternative that is more affordable is the Howa 1500. Im not sure if its available in .204 but I have one in .223 that shoots less than 1/2 MOA with my handloads.

Got the same gun in .223. Rigged it up a bit with a new nikon coyote special 4x12x40 scope and Harris bipod. It's a shooter for sure. Anyone that uses Harris bipods they have a pivot adapter that will attached to your slim swivel and then your bipod allowing you to pivot right and left very smoothly. Worth the extra money.
