It's the 100 acre private piece I hunt on. I'll keep passing him up and hope for one of the big boys to screw up[smirk]

I never have but I wont fault someone that does shoot one.

Can't shoot him no matter what where I hunt. QDM zones. Good for the bucks except when you get one like that which should be taken out and you can't. [confused]

Shoot him. Get him out of there. You have a chance to get another one.
I saw four bucks together and none had 3 on one side. One is a 4 point with easily a 14 inch spread. All they will do is breed more scrubs.[mad]

With spikes that size, there is a good chance that all he ever will be is a spike.
There's a great article in D@DH last month with some tagged spikes that turned out really nice bucks. Once a spike always a spike is just another old timer myth. I don't look forward to getting old & having all my theories dis-bunked:p.

my buddy lives in salem. were the 3pt rule is. that works well on land that is private and managed.were you can take out the culls or bucks not up to stand.
but when its mixed with public and private land it cannot be managed and if you want prof of this take a ride in the evening around oct.nov. when alot of bucks are in the field.
you have spikes with 16-18 in. horns or fork two, three years old that now is your dominate buck. and belive it or not the only one the bennifits from the 3points on 1 side is the people with the farms and private property.
this inables their smaller bucks on their property to be run off by the bigger ones and no one can harvest then perfect.
