What is your go to knife for skinning?

Started to skin my deer head today, only to realize I don't have the right tools. I broke one knife, and my 110 folder is a little to big. I bought a boning/skining knife tonight at Dicks, but i don't know how long it will last.

So, what does everyone prefer?

My carry knife is a knives of Alaska skinner,pain to sharpen but get knife.its on my hip all the time

Have no clue. Started out life as my grand fathers fishing knife kept getting sharpend or broke wound up becoming mine as a teenager has gutted every deer I've ever shot and when I started butchering has been used to skin and bone. Its old as hell not pretty but gets the job done. And its small and sharp enough to skin out the head even. Check flee markets out you can usually find some decent old knives

Don't listen to a guy that works at dick, the name says it all,there is no good knock off knife.buy one that will last years not days

Bud I've skinned thousands of animals. Some replies I'm seeing are well intended but in my opinion you can use whatever knife you gave.
I normally use a fixed blade just simply because it fits my hand better.
Something along lines of a buck woodsman or anything around that size.
I've used scalpels and skinning knives but getting your pointer finger right near the point is key
