Over the years I have learned one importand thing, it is more important to be comfortable and dry than wet and miserable in the woods hunting if you could call it that with 30MPH wind and driving rain. Stay home during the rain and tune your equipment, sharpen knives, reload bullets or just BS with buddys at the local coffee shop or bar. The deer will still be there tomorrow. The older you get the more sense my recommendation will make to you.
P.S. I cleaned out my back pack, put new batteries in the camera, loaded a box of 3006 for the NY hunt, put my doe sent in a spray bottle, waxed the bow string, washed my camo and went to CHURCH this morning (and I did ask god for a shot at my target buck) had pancakes for breakfast and am relaxing now drinking coffee and giving advise to the youngsters on this site.
