tomorrow and through sunday the temps are going to plummet... I'm gonna sit as long as possible tomorrow but I think sunday is the day if you can get on a WMA or private piece. Sunday weather looks realllll good!!

Over the years I have learned one importand thing, it is more important to be comfortable and dry than wet and miserable in the woods hunting if you could call it that with 30MPH wind and driving rain. Stay home during the rain and tune your equipment, sharpen knives, reload bullets or just BS with buddys at the local coffee shop or bar. The deer will still be there tomorrow. The older you get the more sense my recommendation will make to you.

P.S. I cleaned out my back pack, put new batteries in the camera, loaded a box of 3006 for the NY hunt, put my doe sent in a spray bottle, waxed the bow string, washed my camo and went to CHURCH this morning (and I did ask god for a shot at my target buck) had pancakes for breakfast and am relaxing now drinking coffee and giving advise to the youngsters on this site. I've Been Sitting In My Blind Since It Dark. Problem Is There Was A HerD Of Deer Waiting For Me When I Got Here, Nasty Storm Came Through But I Am Dry. Nice And Calm But No Deer Right Now. At One Point An Emergency Whistle Went Off Near By. Right After That The Big Storm Hit. Pretty Scary For A Little While.

Its kind of a double edge sword. Although I have lost blood trails in the rain, I have seen and shot my biggest bucks in the rain.
I lost one last year in the rain. My buddy and I were hunting the same property and I talked him into staying after it started to pour. Well the action was AMAZING!!! TONS OF DEER! I hit a nice doe and she took off. We wandered around for hours soaked to the bone and found NOTHIN. I don't like bow hunting in the rain now.

It's nice to be able to sit in a blind when it's raining, but I am so exhausted that I've got to take an afternoon/night to catch up on some much needed sleep. Going to do an all dayer on Saturday . . .
