Saw a big, headless deer alongside Route 129 North on the second entrance to the Duck Island Landfill Thursday and took a pic Saturday. A purple van was there Thursday. I don't know if it was the perp or a gawker. I got 3 tickets for an abandoned vehicle while parked there when I went fishing in the nearby pond over the past few years and was surprised that the deer was there for 3 days. The ticketers should have had the deer removed. I'll check if there is a ticket on the deer the next time that I go there.

They were discussing this on the radio the other day. A lot of it going on all over the State. Nothing new.
Just another display of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Seems to be a lot of that behavior going around.
Who cares if someone takes some antlers off a road kill. Better someone takes them for rattling or decor than just going to waste. And don't comment on its illegal, so is speeding and not coming to a full stop at a red light when you make a right on red.
Whats the big deal? Really why does anyone give a shit if someone cuts the head or rack off a road kill? I can understand if its a major highway for safety reasons it shouldn't be done but other then safety I could care less if someone does that.
I think if someone is going to take the time to cut the head off. Then they should take the time to drag it off the road out of sight. If possible. I just think it looks bad for us.
I don't care that some one took the head, but that is a picture that will be taken by the anti's and turned into people only hunting for the trophy. people need to think before they take a picture and pujt it on a public forum. Thi scould end up in so many other places that would be used against the hunter
The fact that this is illegal here is just laughable. I'm guessing you guys think shed hunting should be illegal as well?? I got news for ya, in other states bucks get hit and the horns don't last a day before someone cuts them off.
Monday I parked my car near the deer corpse, then went fishing in the nearby pond. When I returned, I had an abandoned vehicle ticket on my rear wiper. That's 4 that I got there the past few years and second in that area this year. On Wednesday the deer was gone. I would guess that the ticketer had the corpse removed. When I first saw the headless deer, I thought that a NJ Deer Hunter made a new version of "The Godfather" and put the deer head in an anti hunter politician's bed.
