I came across this fox trying to hunt south of Pittstown near the Snyder research farm he showed little fear of my truck and was not having much luck hunting what is going on with him?

Rabies, a group of 5 foxes attacked a woman in Netcong and hurt her pretty bad. Netcong cops showed up and had to retreat to their vehicles after missing killing them multiple times.
Also has been multiple attacks from raccoons in Chester that had rabies last week. Trapped my buddies neighbor in his garage trying to get at him.
watch out if you can get that close o a fox something is up. Sould have shot it.

not rabies most likely parvo or distemper, or some other sickness. head looks swelled maybe hit by a car or infected by a bite from some thing. young fox. heck maybe it got into a nest of yellow jackets Rabies by the time the fur starts to show signs of non grooming it is just about dead and not doing anything. or attacking everything. looks to be going after crickets and hoppers.
young fox.mother more than likely got killed while it was too young to fend for itself.it will die soon.had one that age at a sports complex i work at walk out of the woods during a baseball game,walk through the gates and lay down on the second base bag and go to sleep.walked over to it and clapped my hands to wake it up.he looked at me,gave his leg a few licks and went back to sleep.wtf!! clapped again,he got up and strolled off the field and layed back down behind the center field fence.found him dead the next day in the same spot.
