I don't no if its just me but it seems like this year everyone is experiencing quite a few buck encounters and sightings right off the bat. I don't remember reading about guys seeing so many bucks in the early season including myself in past years. I saw 3 good bucks in the first weekend and was surprised at that. Less doe then usual too. This was a private piece in zone 8.

I saw 6 bucks Saturday AM and at least twenty does. The bucks were running the does in a large circle. I have never seen chasing like that this early in the seas0on. All that action and the only shot chance had to be a spike buck. Left the woods at 10 AM and returned at noon. Fifteen minutes later two fawns came in and hung around all afternoon. They would feed for ten minutes then lay down for half an hour over and over. finally at 5 PM a herd of eight does and fawns came in and I whacked the biggest doe. Forty yard run and down. Did not see any bucks in the PM but I was out with my doe at prime time. Did not hunt on Sunday. This AM I saw two spike bucks and three does in the rain, left at 9:30 AM. Will be back out about 2 PM.

I had a bachelor group of young bucks pass within 10 yards of my stand Saturday morning, only deer I saw that morning. Happened ten minutes after a birdwatcher walked right underneath me. They even stopped to smell where he walked. Not all that uncommon for me to see bucks early though.

I had a 9 point chase a doe into me sunday morning. I shot the doe and then as I was waiting to go retrieve the doe I saw him off in the distance chasing more does like it was November. This must be the deer turkey wing was studying the past few years

few years ago, this time of year, I had 14 bucks(bach. herd) walk under me passing a 130" 10pt to get a shot at a freak non typ. and I hit a branch. big fail that day.

Why would your goals change at the later part of the season. What is the saying about passing deer on the first day that you wouldn't on the last?
Must be your saying not mine. My standards drop as the season moves forward atleast I admit it.

I paid my money for license, which in return allows me to pick and choose what I harvest, personally your opinion has zero effect on my choice.

Think you need to remember....Oh what is that saying...

"To each his own"

Quit cramming your beliefs on others

Compared to the rest of you I had a REALLY SLOW PM hunt...Only saw 1 deer a decent high racked 8
