I haven't seen any, but I know lots of friends that have seen more than usual this year. One theory I heard is that we have a ton of blueberries this year which is drawing in all sorts of smaller critters that the snakes feed on. I don't know if that is valid, but I don't recall seeing so many posts on sites like this, emails and Facebook sightings as this summer here in NJ and in PA and NY. A buddy from NJ Audubon saw 6 in one day on a hike in the Water Gap.

Everytime I'm in the Water Gap i look out for them, I have been meaning to get one of those laminated booklets on NJ snakes so I know what is what, I have one for birds and its pretty cool to look at after you see something different.

^^ I have that on on of my buck commander dvd's, it's funny stuff.

I've never seen one but not happy to hear they're moving in.
They've always been here, it's just that development has pushed them out of their habitat over the years and forced them to become listed as endangered. If you want to locate one to take a picture, find eastern facing talus slopes in the Kittatinny mountains, the Highlands mountains, etc. on sunny days like today where they will be out basking in the sun (if not out hunting prey). They exist in the Pinelands and other areas, but I don't know their habitat in areas like that. It wouldn't be talus slopes as those don't exist down that way.
