I'm not knocking Ted or anyone else that is a celebrity endorser, but it's all about the $$. That is why some push one product last year, another this year, and a third next year. It's just business.

If I were in their shoes (and I have been), I would be constantly looking for a better deal. After all, it is the American way. It happens in every sport. Running shoes, tennis rackets, race cars, you name it, and the pros will switch brands for a better deal. Are you listening, Sage fly rods? [lol]

I surely don't mind that he is now shooting a Mathews. I don't mind that his wife is now shooting a Mathews.
But to make it sound like they had a revelation, and saw the light is a little annoying.
Adding the little dig to all the bowmakers that they "used" in the past was unnecessary as well.

What the hell, if they can pay Joe Theisman enough to go on TV and say he was having trouble with pissing his pants til he tried whatever that miracle drug is he sells, I guess Ted can tell the world that his new Matthews turned him into Robin Hood. What annoys me is that manufacturers think we are ignorant enough to go buy their stuff just because so-and-so uses it. Ted is gonna kill stuff with whatever he shoots and so are we...with time and practice. I'd like to think we as consumers are smarter than that. Shoot what fits ya and feels good to ya Who cares what Ted or anyone else shoots. All hiring any of those people does is raise the price of an already over-priced bunch of items. :nutkick:
I liked that he was one of the last ones out there that Mathews didn't get to sink their teeth into with their deep pockets. Not many celebs out there they havent bought. Open any mag. and they almost have a complete catalog for an add, just about every tv show has a celeb being paid to shoot a Mathews. Best money spent, best advertising,But definitely not the best bow. The sheep are always suckered by all the advertising in this sport.
