Like it a lot more than my z7. I had to go with the 34. It is a smooth drawing bow. No recoil at all/No string creep at all. I think it's a better buy than the carbon I shot both and preferred the spyder and I went in planning on buying the carbon

I've shot the Spyder 30 and 34 multiple times. Loved both bows with my nod to the 34. The RKT cams are super smooth drawing. These are the same cams on last year's Vector 32 which I've been hunting with and can't say enough good things about. The Spyder riser has very little vibration and the stock Fuse string minimal stretch. I've also shot Hoyt's carbon top of the line 2013 bow and the Spyder is right up there.

Same here, I sold my Z7Extreme thinking it was a nice shooting bow. It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to replace it with. The guy at the shop kept telling my the more Spyders he put together he was more and more impressed so that made me finally shoot one. Man the bow is sweet, Beautiful wall, stacks up to weight very smooth. Its definitely a shooters bow. Im shooting 366.4gr. DaTorch arrows, at 29.5DL right at 299fps I'd say thats right at advertised speed which over the years hout has been dead on.

Never shot it... But I have read very good reviews on it. For what its worth...if you are long draw.. go with the 34, the 30 will have a severe string angle at full draw.. Sight thru the peep could be an issue.. Just like the Z7 extreme.. That has been my experiences...
Good luck

Thank you.

I have a 29 inch draw and am concerned about pinching the nock, but I am really in the market for a short bow. How much of a concern is it with a 29 inch draw?

I wouldn't want my arrow getting pinched off the string when at full draw on a deer. Also don't want the arrow to raise up off the rest due to the pinch either.

Thanks again.

Better than you with 29" with the loop you will be fine[up] I think arrow pinching tends to come from the shooter shooting a bow with too short of a draw length not related at all to a shorter ATA dim. I think you would have problems if you were a true 30 1/2 draw trying to shoot a 30" bow. You manipulate the shorter draw which can only happen two ways/either you bend you elbow on your holding hand or roll your elbow up up on your drawing arm which could definitely cause you to pinch your arrow.

^ specs are nearly identical brace height is the same/weight is .2 lbs heavier/34 is a little faster but I think that is due to the longer draw length. It really depends on what you want/i didnt have a choice my draw length is 31" with a string loop so i had to go with the 34.......If i could have I would have went with the 30 but that is only because I like a shorter bow for hunting. either way I don't think you can go wrong i think it is one of their best bows they have produced in years and it is a good price[up]

As I said, My draw is 29.5". I was all set to buy a longer bow just for forgiveness but after shooting both, like you, I found they both shot the same. So I decided to go with the 30 to keep it compact for the stand and a blind. No pinch at all.
