Heading out to LVSClays tomorrow for the first round this year. I've been going for years, but haven't been out in a while. I heard they did a major upgrade last fall. Anyways... awesome place to do some sporting clay shooting!! Rent some golf carts, smoke a stogie, light up some clay!

Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays

Some pics from one of our trips...

Don't forget the all important GRUMPYS ROADHOUSE BBQ lunch afterwards!!!! Grumpy's Bar-B-Que Roadhouse

Talk about an awesome way to spend a weekend!!!!! [up][up]

I'm a member, nicest sporting clays course in the Tri state.
now they added two color courses. It's not just A or B anymore.
We should do an njh meet up/competition over there.
What do you average when you shoot?

I shoot my 870 pump with just a mod choke and remington 7.5 club loads and usually end up 75-85. We switch it up between the A&B course and singles or pairs along the way depending on what looks the most fun. I'm bringing some black powder shells for the hell of it tomorrow :) :) Some of those pairs are damn near impossible with a pump.

what always kills me is when we get on top of the hill and they have those LONNNNNG shots. I have a full choke I only use for hunting that I should bring and swap out. For me its not as much about the score as it is having fun with friends. Well I guess its about the score cause we usually bet a round of beer at Grumpys on #17 HAHAH! I'll be in a group of 8 people tomorrow and will be teaching two of them how to shoot shotguns. They never shot clays before, only rifles and pistols, so it should be a lot of fun seeing their reactions, etc. I've always said that clays are the best way to introduce people to shooting cause its instant gratification when you hit the bird. For a new shooter there is nothing better IMHO. LOL... its a little asian girl... I think we're gonna have to rent a youth .410 for her tho!! HAHAH! Her fiance can shoot my pump or one of the rental beretta 12's. Speaking of which, I gotta say they really do have a great deal on rentals there. They are not renting out some cheap shotguns... its like a $1200+ O/U.

I shoot two fixed light mod chokes in my 12ga. And extra full and mod in my 20ga. Whether that is right or not I found those to be good combinations.

the game is so addicting I love it. The stands that you are good at give you the confidence, and the stands that are challenging keep you comin back for more. I literally drove there once just to shoot one of the rabbits on the back course that I couldn't hit to save my life.

Little Asian girl or not I would still let her shoot atleast a 20ga otherwise she might get turned off with a.410. Not enough pellets for most of the shots, and she might not hit any she might get frustrated.

Lehigh is awsome! I've been there twice this year already and the upgrade isn't much, they just streamlined the course a little better. They now have a beginner, intermediate, and advanced stations now instead just the A and B course like before.

Skip over the slow groups. Lehigh is awesome, I have been there many many times with 68ioweu1. He usually beats me by a couple birds, I think it has to do with him keeping score though. I saw his new Perazzi and decided to give up trying to beat him.
