^^^ i no right woody this state sucks!!!

That is the most asinine thing I've read on here in a long time and that's really saying something about it.

If what you claim is true and I'm not doubting you, then that is in no ways grounds for a denial... You absolutely should speak to a lawyer and file an appeal ASAP, Good luck

I bet if people were able to file civil right violation lawsuits against these towns and police chiefs for knowingly and falsely denying then there 2nd amendment rights you'd see a hell-of-a lots less of these BS denials...

^^^^^ thanks I just spoke with my lawyer he going to help me fight it.

I will let you guys know how i make out.

All the naysayers should remember that each town is different, and a simple DPO that will be overlooked in Sussex, is brightline basis for denial in Jersey City. It depends upon where the original poster applied. That's the primary falacy of the NJ firearms laws.

As for the original Poster, I can't say enough that I posted a complete outline back in the day on how to apply for your FPID and permits. Step one was a criminal and psychological background check on yourself to see if there is anything out there that you forgot about, or thought was simply dismissed. Step two is expungement of anything that search disclosed. Since you skipped 1 & 2, you got denied. Now Your SOL becuase every time you apply from here on out, you must Answer "Yes" to the appication question, "have you ever been denied an FPID?" You've got to Answer "Yes" and that's an immediate red flag. You best hope to move to a small town and become best buds with the chief.[wallmad]

I've helped several sight members wind their way through the system. Some with some pretty serious stuff. I've even dealt with cases Nappen turned down, and came out successful, but if you skip steps 1 & 2, there's not much can be done[eyeroll]

I will let you guys know how i make out.
.. If what you are saying is true, no need to post the outcome because its already been determined.. You will get your card.. The system just wants you to pay..[down][down].. and that is my biggest reason for hateing it.. Poor people in this state dont stand a chance.. I really feel bad for them..

I was not a member of this site or much less aware of you being able to help me. wish i was but cant go back.

If there isn't more to this story...(and I'm not implying there is)

Do not go directly to the Chief and complain. He made his decision based upon what was presented to him, and will likely stand behind it. If your conversation goes south....you could potentially deal with the same guy (who after a crappy personal dealing with you, will not forget you) for years.

Better to just have a lawyer work it out if possible. A FID denial is a massive hurdle because the question "Have you ever been denied for a FID" will come up again.

Rough road to hoe here in NJ.

Why dont you go have a meeting with the chief and have him explain it to you. A town ord for a beer on beach does not diqual you. Either your leaving something out or they are.
Make an appointment with the chief.

Town was belmar
I was like 22 at the time like 6 years ago
I'm 28 now
Not the same town that denied me.

And know there is not more
To the story that was the only reason on letter.

I called the chief and he told me it was not his choice. That the state police handle it and I have I take it up with them? So idk we will see we're my lawyer gets

What you failed to mention was that you roadhoused the cop that was writing the ticket and held hostages in a cabin in California for 3 days. That's why you were denied lol

That's bs about the state police. The issuing authority has a lot of discretion when it comes to FID
