We ask everyone in the hunting world to participate in NasHunt.com Charity Event. Canceling are exhibit at the Eastern Outdoor show will be devastating for the charity event promotionally and financially. We believe in our 2nd amendment and solidarity Anything anybody could do to pass the word to the hunting public and celebrities in support of our charity event to participate would be greatly appreciated. nyhunter4life: I e-mailed Bob Vitro at True Life Taxidermy/Safari Specialists and I was informed by his assitant Blake that they will NOT be going to the show. Add them to the ever growing list. Bob and his team do great work and luckily I live 5 minutes away.

In light of the decision by Reed Expositions to ban modern sporting rifles from the Eastern Sports Show, Beavertail Products will not be displaying at the show this year. This was a very hard decision on our part as we were looking forward to meeting and introducing ourselves and our products to sporting men and woman in this very traditional hunting market. We feel this is the right thing to do and hope our Beavertail supporters will understand.

The NRA is the largest and most predominant force in protecting our 2nd Amendment rights as citizens. Without them, we would not even be able to have this debate as they are the organization that stands up for us on a daily basis. Please keep that in mind when debating anything such as the ESS or any other issues that may arrise.

My feeling is and has always been to follow the lead of the NRA when it pertains to gun rights as I feel they have our best interest at hand. With that being said, the NRA has pulled itself from the ESS and as I wrote yesterday, that was a determining factor in my decision to stay in the first place as a speaker / vendor as I do support the NRA and I will always follow their lead over anyone else's when it comes to the firearm issue in America or the 2nd Amendment.

With that being said, I and the Wild Pennsylvania crew will not be at the ESS. I will try and make it up to the people that I stated that I would be there to at some other point. I just hope that this situation is rendered complete leading into 2014 because our community can't withstand the infighting and it only tears away from the direction where these energies should be placed. As a native of Livingston and a cousin to a family running a guide service out of Paradise Valley, I am asking you to pull out of sponsoring the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show over their decision to back down on support for the Second Amendment. Your decision to sponsor this show was most likely done before all the crap hit the fan over the Second Amendment, so you may have already spent money on sponsorship. Please do the right thing and back out and consider the money a down payment on this country's freedom in defense of the Second Amendment.

After much thought and consideration we have decided not to attend the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show this year in Harrisburg, PA. We are very strong supporters of the 2nd Amendment and due to Reed Expositions decision we can't attend the show.
We are sorry to any of our customers in the area but we appreciate your support. To show our appreciation we will be offering show pricing along with free shipping during the dates of the show, Feb 2-10.
We look forward to seeing our industry friends and customers in the future.

NOTICE:
Due to the recent changes in policies made by Reed Exhibition we will not be attending the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show.
As strong supporters of our 2nd amendment rights we feel that this is the best and only decision. We were looking forward to attending again this year to see our friends & fellow sportsmen and women and regret this unfortunate situation.

We WILL be at the NWTF Show in Nashville...Booth #450. We hope to see you there.

Briley Outfitting has participated at the Eastern Sports show for 20 years. We have forged many great friendships and work relations over that time, but it is with a heavy heart that we must make the decision to remove ourselves from the show because of the poor decision by Reed Exhibitions to trample on our Constitutions Second Amendment. We are a proud member of the NRA, and always will be. We waited to see what the governing body of the NRA would do in Harrisburg and when the made the decision to pull out it was a shot that was heard by everyone but was drowned out by the thunderous applause that traveled across our great country letting everyone know that the Second Amendment is one whole Amendment, not pieces and parts. It’s an Amendment that means ALL guns not just some; it’s an Amendment that allows us the right to defend ourselves against tyrants both foreign and domestic.
We are making this decision knowing we are losing thousands of dollars from money already spent and prospective clients missed, but sacrifice is what is needed in a battle for our rights. My expenses start the moment I book my booth for almost $4,000.00. Then when we leave from San Angelo Texas and head to Harrisburg my expenses start running till I get back home. With the hotel cost for me, Sara, employees, sky rocketing fuel prices, meals, parking tickets and every other expense it normally runs over $10,000.00 dollars.
and now these people at this so called outdoor sports show that say they support the second amendment I have lost all faith in there company and as of today have pulled out of there show for not supporting mine and your rights to the second amendment. I have also started a list of people, friends or not, that are going to stay in the show. We will not support their company by passing along hunters to their operations or buying any goods or services from those companies.
The big picture is the economy in Harrisburg is going to take a tremendous hit. The hotels are going to be hit hard the food industry is going to be hurt and for that I’m sorry, we do feel your pain.
To all my customers that were coming to the show I ask that you do not go there at all, stay home take your wife and kids to a movie, take a trip to Cabala’s, go support your local hunting and fishing stores that are supporting us in this stand.
to all of our dear friends, Sara and I will miss all of you as we look forward every year to seeing everyone as we have a few laughs and just enjoying everyone’s friendship.
We will be at the NWTF show in Nashville where they still promote and enjoy our second amendment. I wish everyone a great year and this is only a minor setback everyone, so let’s band together and stand as one. For together we stand, and divided we would fall.
