I have a small snapper snow blower I just rebuilt the carb on the tecumse motor the carb is a float type the snow blower runs great now but I am getting too much gas in the bowl which is causing it to stall since replacing the needle and seat was part of the rebuild is it possible I may need to adjust the float ? Thanks

The bolt that holds the bowl on has a venturi port on it that is probably clogged it may not be getting too much gas but not enough air. Its real easy to over look remove the bolt and see if that port it plugged.

Hi,I too have a snap 1ohp,and rebuilt he carb 2mnths ago.the kit was $21 now it never ran so good!I thought jessball was nuts at 1st till I went on line and found this.I'm sure my local guy would have charched twice that!I agree with the others, float adj.it;s not raising the pin up to stop the gravity feed of the fuel.Let us know how your doin.Theres more, things but get back or pm me. http://www.calibex.com/New-Tecumseh...4543.htmlB1z0--search-htmlhttp://www.arkansas-ope.com/TECUMSEH_CARB_REPAIR.html Damn look at these prices $7 rebuild payed 3 times that.Yeah my carb was so gummed when I went to loosen the venturi It snapped.I can,t belive I successfuly drilled and retapped it.When you screwed the venturi aligned the little holes with the needle, screwed mixture in till it coughed then backed out 1/2 turn I suggest taking it apart ever minutley bend ing the float tab up and making sure you have a good clean seat on that little square pin,and those holes are lined up. very important!I screw it in without the bowl on and mark the base of the carb and the bottom of the bolt. You can do ittt!

It's the Fetzer valve... you need some 30-weight ball bearings.

axis thats what I said buy a ney one put it on and spend the rest of the day saying wow that was easy I spent countless hours trying to mess with carbs on my Lawnmower, eco blower, trimmer, ect.Last year I made the mistake of leaving gas in all of them cleaning out the jets and all Id rather spend that time with my kids.

If the needle seat was replaced was there an o-ring that sealed it to the carb body ? May want to double check that also.
