I know I'm a little late this year, but I have 1 ladder stand that has been up all season. I put it up in June last year and ended up moving it because there travel pattern changed and I only saw 2 deer during bow season, but just to far and too thick to shoot from. I have 2 more ladder stands that I have bought and should I put them up this year or wait until next season to put them up. I hunt private land and they are safe if put up. I know their trails and travel patterns. They have been using the same trail for several years. I just don't want to put them up to have to move them like I did with my 1st stand. Any opinions?

put it up now i do all my scouting for next year during this time just be sure to give it a coat of rustoleum to save you the headache of having to take it down sooner to cover rust spots

Wait save it from weathering and shooting lanes are going to change just pick out trees maybe do trimming now. Fall patterns are different than patterns now in mos areas

As axiom said depends if your baiting or not.If your gonna skip on baiting then id throw some trail cams out and right before season opens put your stands on the heavy traffic areas.
