Dead Bear Near My Home (pic)

An hour ago I was on my way to ShopRite, and while driving on Rt. 22 East I saw a dead bear, it's between the Phillpsburg Diner & Phillipsburg Mall. It was hit by a car or truck, there is some rock salt and sand laid around the area.

And to think I hunted all week for them an hour away from home, and never saw one[wallmad][wallmad][wallmad][wallmad][wallmad][wallmad]

I've only seen a handful of road killed ones throughout the years surprisingly..I guess they're somewhat smarter then deer [hihi][hihi]

It was there about 10.30am when I went by. Lopat cops called fish and game to come pick it up but they said they where not able to pick it up till Weds. Heard it on the scanner last night. Fire Dept was called out to wash the road down, guess it was a bloody mess.

There was one dead on rt. 15 north near the Sparta/Jefferson border where the power lines cross the highway last week. I see them often dead along the road on rt. 80.

I do, remember when it was all farm land where the mall is now. Would walk there from my house and hunt. Could walk a few blocks with a shotgun back than and nobody said anything. How times have changed.

I imagine a big boar could do a number on a car. This young bear is almost cut in half. They must of cleaned up any car parts. I didn't see any.

My uncle lives in Florida. Drives an f250 diesel four wheel drive, jacked up. Hit a 700-800 pound bear on his way to work at 50 mph. He said it stopped his truck instantly. Ripped the front end out of it.
