I hope not. I only hunt with the bow in NJ but i would always like to have the option. A ban like that would be disaterous for sportsman and gun owners in this state. What would be next after that give up your shotguns and muzzleloaders because you dont need them anymore? No f$$%in way.

Like someone said above be careful what you wish for because once its gone its gone we will never get it back. This country is moving too far left way too fast. For gun owners and sportsman to give up any of our rights is crazy. Its going to be hard enough to keep what we have in the coming 4 years.

Fu*k no, what a dumb idea. I hunt 98% of the time bow only, but the one or 2 days I take to the field with the muzzy are great too. All of us should be afforded the opportunity to hunt with our chosen weapon during the already offered seasons wether you like to take advantage of them or not. To suggest otherwise is both selfish and irresponsible. Stick together please for the benefit of all of us.

I hope not even though I only bowhunt. There are many zones that I can hunt for 6 months and get permission to hunt small properties that you would never be able to hunt legally with a gun. So NJ is a bow only state for me.[up]

I understand this is a forum and place to express opinions and ideas and what not, but why even make a thread like this in a time when their is so much talk and threats of new laws being passed to take away our rights? We are under attack right now, and its scary as hell. This isnt just about semi auto's or AR's anymore, this is a full frontal attack on everything and everyone from a guy who enjoys shooting squirrels with a .22 to competition shooters. They are after us all. The media is on one side only as usual, and many other long time gun rights supporters are folding one by one to this pressure or other new found beliefs that they now have. We all need to stand as one as hunters, shooters, and sportsmen to protect our rights, not divide ourselves from within our own ranks. Its just very sad to see how many people just on this thread alone would like to see this state become bow only. For what reason? 3 months with the woods to yourself it not enough? 6 months and Sundays to hunt is not enough? You are all in agreeance that the thousands in this state who enjoy hunting small game, waterfowl, etc would just be shit out of luck because they enjoy hunting with a firearm and not a bow? You would readily give up the traditions and the comradarie amongst families and friends that have been built and forged generations ago just so you and your bow can have the woods to your selves so you can "stalk" in your "snow camo" chasing your "target buck"? I am a bow hunter and love the stick and string, but it seems some need to re think what side they are really on. Just a thought.

Our government was design to prevent rapid changes from occuring. It was originally formed that change would occur gradually. I personally feel our right to own firearms will not be infringed but after the events that have taken place over the past few years there is a demand for reform by the general public who lack basic knowledge of firearms. With that being said this post is like the agenda of our representatives, it has one's personal interest at mind versus what is for the greater good of the people. We are sportsmen as a whole group and the second that we become divided into "bow" or "gun" hunters is when we will lose creditability. "United we stand, divided we fall."
