Wow $100 dif makes you never want to shop there. I would think some shops do more volume and can pass on some savings but $100 is a lot of money.

i got my camo and stainless from jim flynns for 530, retail from savage website for same model was 704. and he had it in stock, he also had the egw scope base in stock which is reccomended for that gun

The 220f is a bolt action, rifle barrel only no smoothbore, stainless is better only for less corrosion and maybe at times less weight, but in no way is it any better in the accuracy department

You honestly can't beat Jim Flynn. Very good guy...FYI...give him a buzz before going, I believe Tuesday's and Thursday's he has a semi-retired guy helping him out so you don't have to wait so long. His pricing is generally only 10% above wholesale and he is a VERY good guy to do business with.

Stay away from egw bases.....they are aluminum, steel is always better. Warne makes a steel, tactical base for 100 bucks

I really like EGW rings they are top quality and I think their tactical bases for the savage are just as good.
