I might purchase the Savage 220f Stainless Steel with the gift cards I know I will get for Xmas, so I'm doing my homework now as to the best place for the best price, any input would be great !!

I'm waiting for a reply from three places.....Jim Flynns, Simon Peters, and Cheyenne Mountain

I already have the 220f (black stock, blue barrel) and it shoots tacks, with that said I'm still in the thinking stages of getting the new one, if not the gun then a new bow and I only deal with one archery shop

How much money do you have to save to make it worth making 3 different calls and or driving out to a place further away? Save say $50, make multiple phone calls, spend say $25 on gas, waste 2/3 sales reps time maybe 3/3 since you dont know if you want a bow. And you own one already this is why sales people want to go nuts.

If the price is fair buy from the local store, any issues your right there and you save money on gas and wear n tear on your vehicle. If the savings were substantial and made sense I would be in the wrong.

I don't care about driving, as I already drive an hour from work, and I don't care about what a sales person thinks, they work for customer, if I can save a few $$$ so be it..they don't like it, I move on

Yes you will pay a transfer fee to the ffl ( I pay 25 bucks) but its usually still considerably cheaper than paying retail price here in jersey.

There are some gun shops in PA that I do business with, they will beat anyones price from what I've seen. A rifle or shotgun bought in PA has 1 extra form to be filled out, but you carry the gun out the door with you. Only pistols have to be shipped to a gun shop in NJ if bought out there.
