Got around to setting a piece that ive trapped for the last three or four years where some of you may recall I tangled with a coyote that ive lost three or four times now...

Ive had no problems holding coyotes this year at all. Things had been going pretty well all in all. The last time I had this coyote, I told a couple of you fellas that I was sure he was 'learning' had to get out.

I came up to this location and there was no real catch circle and I couldnt find the snare at first. Sure enough. I followed the extension behind a bush and found the remains, lol. He's gotten to the point where he doesnt even fight the snare anymore..just layed down and got to chewing. snare wasnt even tangled up in the brush and even the grass was still upright.

sad part is he's such a pain in the ass, I dont even want to catch him anymore. I'll stick with the stupid ones. I just want him to stay outta my gear, lol.

yeah mike, its what I generally use on fox..1x19 on the coyotes alot of time on the coyotes...he found a fox snare this time and I refuse to start slinging specific coyote gear at him...to hell with him, lol.

theres a couple younger coyotes there now too..found a spot for them today..i'll turn out a couple of 1x19 for those two tonight....

I did a couple years ago Joe.. made no difference...now he doesnt even fight the snare anymore, so it wouldnt matter, lol

We are after a big ole yote here. Colin hasn't set for them yet he is waiting on snow. Did whisk a sabot slug past his nose during buck week tho. When it comes to luck yotes corner the market.

Put a collor on um
if he can chew through that cable in a 24hr check, he is bad coyote.
That would be the truth, lol. I havent even taken them outta the bag yet though. Like I said, im not taking the bait from him again this season...to hell with him.
If he is gonna die, he'll likely die by the foxpro this year.

I believe he's done this to me five times now all on this one 90 acre piece. He can have it. I know I can catch him again, but I dont believe
i can hold him unless I really swapped things out which im not doing..screw him. I'll catch his friends and a few more reds there and im on my way.

Don't give up that easily. Sure, it's some work and more headaches but get after that sucker. He's become your nemesis. Time to pull out all the stops and go after him. You will get him! Don't give up!
