my 6-day over before it begins ...

The good news ... recent promotion at work. [up]

The bad news ... enrolled in a mandatory supervisor course that runs daily from Dec. 3rd thru the 7th. [wallmad]



Hoping to salvage Saturday. If not, this will be the 1st time in nearly 30 years that I'll be on the sidelines for 6-day (not to mention the 1st NJ bear season I've missed).

Almost missed out myself on the upcoming 6-day. We are swamped with work (good thing) and after three days of pleading they are giving me Monday off. Most likely the only day I will get to hunt (bad thing). Greg , I feel for you brother. I have not missed an opening day since my first season in 1980. Hopefully you will be able to get out on Sat. the 8th. Good luck if you do. [up][up]

I'm not complaining, I've been very blessed ... just a little bummed about missing that Sussex Co. sunrise on Monday morning. :(

My wife won a free trip to Hawaii from Dec. 3 – 13.. It wasn’t enough from me to express my sincere happiness and joy for her accomplishment and wish her a good time while gone.. She says we should share this reward together. We deserve it she says.. Gee, I’m so happy..[cry][cry]

I feel for you. I'm a plumbing and heating contractor at the shore. My seasoned ended weeks ago. Hopefully I will be caught up by winter bow.............2014 [rofl][rofl]

I've been out of work for 5 weeks now due to 2 herniated discs and a sciatica that has been killing me for 3 months now. I'm gonna sit on the ground Monday and that's about all I can probably muster up. First year for me in about 15 years that I'm going to miss. Looks like that week of vacation I was going to use will be used another part of the deer season. I feel your pain.

Loaded4bear...CONGRATS! on your promotion and what would be even sweeter is that you do get to go out the one day and do the best you ever have. Good luck on both :) all the best to you. Would make for a great start to a holiday season.
