If you just want a box target i say go with the yellow jacket its like half the price of the block and just as good! I am going to pick one up in the near futur so i can take something around more portable then the bag.

I have the Delta Broadhead buck. I don't shoot too many bh's into it, but after a few rounds its holding together very well.

I need a target for broadheads. any suggestions?
I hear the block 4 x 4's are good, and don't get torn up so easily by BH's. I wouldn't spend 100 dollars or more on a block target though...I might spend it on a 3D target. I have a hips hot shot (cheap block target like 40 bucks) Holds up fine with field tips, but broadheads eat it up really fast.

My fiancee bought me this.

Think it was under $100.

ahhhh come on deadbolt..you didn't even split one at 30 yards!?!?!
No that was me spacing them out some...didn't want to make it to tight and make everyone jealous :p

I did shear a fletching though...thank god I was shooting with my crappy arrows! I have a half dozen fresh ones waiting for hunting season to open up!

Hey you think you could bust through a deers shoulder with your setup?!?!?!
Oh god dont start that one again LOL [rofl][rofl][rofl]

Ya know I did that test and lost all the damn pictures from it...I was so pissed!!!

I shot through like 5 inches of industrial cardboard, 1 piece of carpet, and a packet of bacon no problem from 20 yards.

Then I did the same but replace the cardboad with 3 inches of wood. I didn't get a blow through but i penetrated both...had I had a heavier arrow I feel I could have gone through...I shoot such a light setup its not even funny.

Oh but i have some very good ground stands this year which will bring me under 10 yards from the deer...we will see my friend I am determined to prove the sceptics wrong :p

Yup! Your ready. Great shooting[up]

I did a little testing of my own one day. I shot a muzzy point with no blades in it right through a 2 x 4 no problem whatsoever, and then I tried shooting a cinder block with it. The broadhead tip disentigrated on the block I heard shrapnel flying all over the yard, and the arrow bounced back about 10 yards (no perceivable damage to the shaft). These were both 20 yard shots. I think the 2 x 4 convinced me that I could bust through at least one shoulder if I hit it by mistake.

My set up is:
Matthews Switchback LD 06
73# draw weight
32" draw length
Beamen uncut 340 camo hunter arrows.
