As a co founder of the NJOA
The NJOA is a dying organization.

This hate has gone on long enough.
Then why dish the hate out......???????

gregtpal, in my humble opionion, and in the opinions of the other members. NJSFSC is nothing more than an arm of the Division. They represent the Division, and not the Sportsmen/Women of NJ.
The NJOA is a dying organization. The Federation is adopting them in my mind.
Neither one of these groups support the average sportsmen/woman of NJ. They lay claim to alot of things that were done by other orginzations. Read the NJSFSC web page, one of the bills they are against, is a free salt water registry. The division wants a $15 salt water registry to raise revenues. So
the Federation supports it, even tho most salt water fisherman are against it. They justify by saying more money more research. How many fish biologist does the Division have on the payroll?
Archery in the schools is a perfect example of the divisions waste of funds. I am one hundred percent for this, I have become a certified instructor to help out. Why does the State need two full time people to run this program, when Matthews supplies the bows, the schools supply the space, and the instructors? I know and like both people that run the program for the division, but that doesn't mean I agree with the expense that the division has taken on. (sorry guys).
If you stand against the Federation, you get ousted on trumped up charges, with no evidence. Ask Mr. Cooper what they did to him. This new organization will let you speak your peace, without being told your out of order. I was at Mr. Coopers hearing, and seen the way his witnesses were treated, how Mr. Cooper was treated.
Mr. Coopers talents are to valuable to waste on personality conflicts. This new org was being formed before Mr. Coopers ouster.

palatable to who? Federation supporters? Division supporters? NJOA people?

To become palatable to them, I would have to agree with everything they say or do. I am not like that, if I think a bill is wrong, I will say it.

I busted my butt for the Federation the three months I was on the board of directors. Because I stood against them, they did everything they could to oust me. When we asked for evidence on the charges, they refused to show them.

They can go their way, I will go mine. Its fine with me.

I made a fortune off the mileage! I didn't start campaigning until I was ask for a resume. The only campaigning I did was read the resume when asked by the board of directors of the various clubs. Thats all over with now.

Who did all the leg work on the picnic? Who chased down the politicians that Frankie couldn't get an audience with, and got him his audience. Who wrote the letters to Senators pushing Demartino's appointment for the council? Not Frankie, not anyone from the board. Who went and talk to Ray about opening Double Trouble back up so hunters wouldn't get tickets for being in there after dark, about unlocking the gates, so guys could drive back in.
I was representing the Federation on all these, and didnt voucher mileage. I am the only board member that ever vouchered mileage. The rest just get a check.

Deckman he doesn't need to be baited into a debate - his silence does the answering for him. Donofrio (RFA), Cooper, Dolce, Deckman, of the make-believe group "NJASS" have to put others down to build themselves up. They've got nothing.
I am not going to be baited into a debate. This hate has gone on long enough

Is the Fed good or bad? the answer is yes and no.As in ALL clubs and organizations there is politics. As some of you know I was the last life membership issued.I served on the Board Of Directors for years.I know first hand what goes on.When I ran and almost got elected to President,a certain former director of Fish and Wildlife threaten to quit as a officer if I got elected. So if you are one of the boys life is good, get out of line and you better be prepared to be slandered. This being said I still support those unsung heroes that continue to work within the system.Any group of sportmans that have the common good as a objective has my support.

When I ran and almost got elected
How long ago was that?
I have been with the Federation thru 4 Presidents and don't recall a contested presidential election except for the one in 2011.
We are no longer what I have heard as the "Good old boy's club"
The last 3 president have turned it into a growing professional, recognized, well managed organization

It was in the late 90s as I recall.I ran against Frank Bittner.Yes I see a lot of the assholes are gone.Thats why I am not ragging on the present officers.I just know what politics and petty arguements do.As long as I have your ear,do you really think the Fed should back another fee for salt water fishing? If you do you will see people running away from the Fed.

and who were the candidates, and what was the complaint.

Letter from the Governor to the NJOA
and how many other organizations received a letter from Gov. Christie? Did the PAL's get one? Any of the fishing clubs? How about the FEDERATION did they get one?

If the NJOA, was the only one to receive a letter I will withdraw my opinion that the NJOA is dying.

[confused]Not sure what you are looking for here but I am sure you know the answer already anyway.
and how many other organizations received a letter from Gov. Christie?
if all the members of the NJOA-CF council listed a mailing address then 23 to 25 is a fair figure
Did the PAL's get one?
this is not for me to answer
Any of the fishing clubs?
about 12 or more
How about the FEDERATION did they get one?
Of course the did. One of our officers co-wrote the bill and had numerous meetings on it over the years.
But you knew that too!

Now let me ask you a few questions
Why all cap's when you write Federation?
Don't follow NJH site rules?

NJOA NJOA-CF & NJOA-EP very much alive and well!

Don't follow NJH site rules?
I didn't know it was against the rules to use capital letters. But then you know me, just a rule breaker!

I think it was Billy Cooper, and there was some question about the voting.

But the NJOA takes all the credit, posting a generic letter addressed to friend. I am sure the 12 fishing clubs got a letter with their name mentioned in the body of the letter.
I understand that it takes alot of orginazations to get something like this passed. But instead of the NJOA, sharing the credit, they claim it all for themselves.

Then start the new org. with all the other crap left behind. What good is it to keep harping about the other organizations? Put those efforts into the new endeavor and move on...

and who were the candidates,
Why did you ask when you knew it was Billy?

what was the complaint.
AS a BOD I heard of no official complaint during or after the election.

there was some question about the voting.
Not to my knowledge.
Then again you offer me baited questions when you have an assumed or generated answer in your thoughts.

Don't you know the answer or its top secret?
I have no knowledge of any PAL's attending any meeting in Trenton or any legislators office with the NJOA or NJSFSC regarding HOFNOD.
If the PAL's promoted HOFNOD on their own in which I am sure they may have then I congratulate them and any other group. If they want to be recognised by the Governor's office it's for them to request it.

The NJOA is taking only the credit due us and if there are other organizations that were in the fight they should ask for their share.

As you know Trenton is "Generic".
I did not see copies of the letters mailed out to the other NJOA -CF Council clubs and organization so I can't comment on it.

But then you know me, just a rule breaker!
I hope that you and your fellow members of your new NEW JERSEY ALLIANCE FOR SPORTSMEN/WOMEN remember that statement when they create their By-Laws.

Oh Sh!7 I just broke a NJH rule!
