its a 1.5 y/o buck. you would have no idea what he will develop into 3-5 years down the road. let the young bucks walk!

What would even make you think that deer is somehow inferior....[spy]
its not a rule that older bucks do most of the breeding alot of factors in play and generally its true but once you understand that you cant control genetics you will stop worrying about culling what you think are inferior deer because it doesnt matter

I'd definitely let him walk.. He has a large body, but looks young.. in 2 or 3 years he will probably be a shooter.. Lets just hope he makes it through shotgun season. I've passed numerous deer only to see them blasted during shotgun season. Good job passing him though! [up]

I wouldnt use my tag on him. Let him walk, he could be a monster in 2 years.
