After reading the reviews of the Nose Jammer products and other overpriced pro-staff endordsed B.S.;

Here's a recipe I've been using for years that works well.

The basic recipe is unscented, but I've modified if with some experimentation to add a very slight cover scent using NJH ******** Pride products.

Here's a pic from the stand tonight that had does bedded 15 yards down-wind. I only could get 2 in the pic, but there was a couple more in the vicinity.

And best of all....no need for an Ozonics unit when using it....:p

.total bull crap [down]...i've had does come in before also with none of that bullshit and bed down right next to my stand in the swamp,if the wind is in your favor and your sitting still this can happen any time..these so called "NEW GENERATION HUNTERS TRY SOMETHING THEY READ ABOUT ,AND When something like this happens ..well they swear they have come up with the magic formula of scent control..[down]..total bullshit..if that wind is not in there favor ..YOUR BUSTED..SOMEONE ACTUALLY SAID THIS JUST A WEEK AGO..GUESS WHO?

After having several go by just out of range at first light I see a big lookout doe coming from dead downwind right at me....

She gets within 15 yards, doesn't like something...could be me........or the curiosity scent I have hanging, snorts and starts walking away

:D Homemade scentkiller is cheap to make and just as effective as the high priced stuff. I made a gallon of it years ago and never used it. I don't think you need any of this BS, liquid or electronic.

I've used that homemade formula in the past minus the extras. I always wondered about it's effectiveness since you are adding peroxide as an oxidizer (which would kill odor causing bacteria) then letting it sit to release the extra oxygen essentially forming water and free O2 that escapes into the atmosphere. So after letting it sit a couple days to vent the pressure (release the O2) you essentially have water and baking soda with some soap since the peroxide is mostly gone. I guess it wouldn't hurt anything but I don't know how much it helps either. The soap would probably have a small amount of triclosen as an anti bacterial and there may still be some oxidation in what's left of the peroxide but overall I don't see it really killing bacteria since you converted the peroxide to water by letting it vent the free O2.

Do you actually read the stuff type AND believe it.....[eyeroll]

Said it could be one of two options....[confusedagain]....or maybe it saw a blob in a tree and thought...wtf....[drinking]

You need a useless spray to cover your scent??? Guess you forgot your cardinal rule that you always preach..."Hunt the wind
Are you Piney's brother or just his alter ego....[ninja]
I was and do hunt the wind. Did you ever have a spot that deer could be coming in any direction at any time? How do you hunt that....I'm not hunting in a backyard so I can't use the picket fence to make sure deer don't come in down wind behind me....[ko]

Amazing how it does not matter WHAT anyone posts, there will be someone that will hijack the thread and make it into a controversy. Why do people even need to start with their crap? Sometimes people on this site are just unreal and should keep their comments to themselves!!

BTW... i've been using a version of this homemade cover for many many years and it has helped especially when deer cross my tracks. I only use it on my boots and it does help.

Because that's what Deermaster does to everyone so now people throw it back in his face.

I like how the first line is...
