So I'm going to Illinois and they don't recommend rage or micanical blades. (I guess bc the deer are bigger) what would you use? I shoot 65 pounds destroyer 350 blue streak 350s arrows
Help What would you use!??!

Muzzy 4 blade 100 grain fly exactly like my field point.[up] no need to use a huge cutting diameter broadhead.

I went to Illinois last year - everyone shoots rage...make a good shot and there's no need to worry about broad heads
They are worried about someone using an arrow that is to lite and fast so that it does not deliver the kinetic energy to get the mechanical open and through the body. I shoot a carbon arrow that is 11.6 gpi with the 2 blade rage and have had nothing but pass throughs and have convertted a number of long time fixed blade hunters to them.

I use the cheapest cabelas nock off muzzy fx3, cheap and work great

Why use a broadhead that has a chance of not opening up? If you use a fixed head it's like 7-11... always open [up]

The three classics seem to be Thunderheads, Slick Tricks and Muzzys.
My buddy had 6ft high blood trails on saturday (doe ran through some standing corn). He shoots slick tricks.
All three work. Now its a matter of how well they shoot out of your bow. If you seal my driveway extra cheap, you can can have a thunderhead to test. They cost like $30 for 6.

A lot of good answers but if it were me, I would go with thunderheads, muzzy or slick tricks and a great mechanical is grim reapers. All awesome heads
