So I'm going to Illinois and they don't recommend rage or micanical blades. (I guess bc the deer are bigger) what would you use? I shoot 65 pounds destroyer 350 blue streak 350s arrows

I like the Montec CS, They fly great and I've killed mule deer and elk with no problem. Test a couple different kinds and see what one works best for you. Good Luck
Im going to try the montecs for Illinois. I shot 2 does so far with the new rage chisel tips and I lost the 1st one , no pass through, couldnt find any blood. Shot looked good from the stand. Shot one last night and hit her at 26 yards. Caught lung and liver. She went 150 yards. Not the blood trail I expected and wasnt impressed with the holes either. I did get a pass thru last night
Mario, you can shoot what you want, Im telling you if you hit a 200lb deer in the shoulder with a rage, kiss him good bye. Those midwest bucks are much bigger than our NJ deer. Why take a chance, you never know what may come your way.
Montecs Are really good not he biggest hole but very strong and very accurate. Dropped my opening day doe quartering away through the ribs out the neck found her 70 yards away
Bring what u feel comfortable shooting , if your familiar with the flight of one over the other then do what suits u !!! Big buck small buck in the end they will eat dirt
I'd check out the g5 striker and the slick tricks. I was going to switch from mechanicals this year and from everything I read, these two fly real well, are durable and are among the sharper ones out there.
