Is this the same buck?

I'm still learning, but in going back through pics I found the top two pics from last year, and then the 3rd and 4th is from this month. I'm beginning to think it's the same deer, the eyes and circles around them look similar, but I'm still new to this. If this is the same deer, I've read conflicting things that it could be genetic or it could be nutritional, but two years in a row make me think genetics and if so, he needs to go. So i'm interested to hear others thoughts.

T don't think so. Both look like first year spikes. The summer coat on this years deer makes it look bigger..

i do think its possible. i see deer that dont grow hardly at all from year to year in the pines. im leaning towards there two different deer in those nice looking deer woods.

Jeez I suck at this! Thanks guys. If would make sense if they are different, with the milder winter this year compared to last winters tough winter and much better food sources this year than last.

I'd say no, just same genetics. I couldn't see him not grow any in a year, even in the pines, they will grow a little bit
