When i was looking for a place to bear hunt I spoke to a guy that lived in a section of West Milford for 50+ yrs. He lived on a property bordering the state land i was gonna hunt. He told me that it was common by him. His nieghbors have called F&G who would set a trap and get nothing for weeks. They'd leave and right then bears would show up and chase the children getting off the bus. Now he was speaking about yrs in the past but after that homeowners would handle the bears.
