This is an excerpt from my manual for you guys and gals.

The Zone 10 rut is the not the only time to put a big rutter in the freezer. In September the big neck rutters are still into their pre rut feeding patterns. If you follow my plan you also can take a rutter during there pre rut routine.

Start by a few nights looking for deer in the fields that have food like alfalfa or corn or beans or such as.. If you doesn't hunt fields and you hunt woods look for does and than the bucks follow later and they will all go somewhere to feed. Get it now!! You know where they are going. You can place a stand their.

Now you have located them and wheres they all come out from and you can start your plan.

Now go out late morning and early afternoon. This is when that big rut monster is bedding. More than likeley it will be in the thick stuff or in the thick stuff off the edge of the timbers. You want to start out slowlly and make your way in from where you catched them cumming out. Don't go in to far or you will spook them. Use the winds to your advantage. Get it now!! You know where they are coming from. You can place a stand their also.

Thanks for letting me share some good pointers from my manual.Good Luck
