Of course, I do too. I very rarely take a fish. Wether its FW or SW I always catch and release unless the fish is doomed. But I would never bash anyone for doing what they want and is perfectly legal. Now if I owned a lake that would be a different story. But if someone paid for his fishing liscense and is fishing a public lake then do what you want [up]

to each his own...just glad he's not fishing the lakes i'm fishing
everyone is so wrapped up in catch and release theses days. catch and release is great but i mean cmon, theres freaking largemouths everywhere! EAT THEM! they taste good! plus they stock them just like smallies, channels, musky, pike. fish are meant to be eaten. so ENJOY! plus its healthy.

Personally I catch and release largemouth but just about every lake around me that I fish, there are too many bass for the small lake but I have yet to catch one over 3lbs. Take a few out so the rest can grow bigger
Water temps are way higher than 40 degrees, and have been for weeks. Smallies have already started making beds in some smaller bodies of water where water temps have hit 60 degrees in the shallower coves. With the way temps have been this winter and early spring, majority of bass will be spawned out by he end of April.
