For your budget, Wicked Ridge Invader... made by 10 Point. I've got the Warrior, a little slower than the Invader but a little cheaper. Or get the Warrior instead, upgrade your scope and bolts and you'll still be under $500.

The Excalibur Axiom would fit the bill for light....but, due to the fact that it's a recurve, and therefore wider, it may not be as compact as you like. The Wicked Ridge line is also an excellent suggestion. Contact David Wilkins at Wyverm Creations (603-659-0575)and run your question by him. He'll take some time with you, whether you buy from him or not.

I second or third the wicked ridge by 10 pt. I was goingto but one myself but at my age I learned not to buy twice. I bought the HLX. I bought a $400.00 grinder and a $400.00 smoker I want to update but they still work fine. Never go for less expensive if your heart is in it. It will only cost you more later.Also when spending $ always look at the resale value just in case.[up]

Just picked up the stryker 350 few weeks ago great x bow ight compact and shoots 350 fps. Been target shooting with it dead on at 50 yds.

I was at dicks sporting goods messing around with one of them. it felt real good nice and light and compact. wasnt to sure about the horton brand[confused]
