I had big plans for the last couple of days.
Bowhunting in Z4 yesterday and surf fishing at Island Beach SP today. WenesdayI was going to get an Easypas for my trip to IBSP when my truck broke down on RT80. It just died and would not restart. Actually it would run for about 1 second and stop.
I got it towed to my mechanic.I found out I only had the basic AAA membership so only the first 3 miles of towing are free. It cost me $72 for the tow. My mechanic got it started, but cannot make it stall again. He scanned it there are no codes, no "check engine"light. I drove it all around today within 3 miles of home and it ran fine. We think it might be the fuel pump.
I upgraded my AAA so I have 100 miles of free towing, but that will not go into effect for 10 days. So I cannot go to Z4 or anywhere else where it might breakdown again until after the early muzzleloader season. I guess I will have to get the permit for Z3 or Z6. Those are longer permits than Z4, but all the places I know in these areas are not very good at least not compared to my Z4 spots.
It may be a moot point anyway because I have a job interview on Monday for which I am renting a car. According to the recruiter this company really likes my resume so I may have to start a new job on the Monday after Thanksgiving. That will kill the early part of muzzy season anyway.
