After hunting mostly in the same spot in area 2c on dix for bow season and extended bow,the last night being Saturday Nov 5th .,i left my portable in tree for the Monday muzzeloader season opener...Well at the last moment on Sunday i change my mind about going to the spot because of to many hunters entering the area, I took a chance no body would find it and left it there. This was not my only portable i use and it was my oldest and needed repairing ...Anyhow i never went back to get it all week until today..AND YES IT WAS GONE...Unlike others i'am not getting overly upset because it mostly my fault..oh well ..all i can say is Good Luck to ever took it..oh and fix the brace on it!!...( i killed probably 10 deer with that stand)..i'll miss it.
Someone got my portable from 2c..good luck with it.

Maybe some day you are walking out of the woods after a night hunt and while your walking out you hear a faint cry for help you walk through the woods and who do find lying at the bottom of a tree with your deer stand lying onto of him, do you help him. (THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HUM)

All I have to say is whoever took it is not a true sportsman. If you knew who it was his butt should be kicked out of the club - he doesn't deserve to hunt!

that sux,i see guys leave them in there all the time at dix durin bow,first time i herd of one getting jacked,i had 2 atands jacked in dix in 20 years both were up aginst private property,7d and 7a,,i have stands in other areas never been bothered for the last 8 years just hunted out of!i just wanted to appoglogize for the hunters that cant seem to keep there hands of other people shit because it sure aint no else besides the so called hunters that are taken everyone shit!![wallmad][wallmad]

I really dont understand why a hunter would take another hunters stand. I have had several stands stolen and because of it i hunt with my climber. Good luck piney maybe u can sell one of those fish mounts and get another stand.

Sorry to hear. You just cannot trust anyone. I hunt public and private. On my secure private spot I have thought about leaving my climber at base of tree at 5 pm and return in 13 hours. Like what could possible happen??? But each time I take it with me. Never trust anyone. It's a real shame though.
