The digest is a little confusing...It says the 150' rule applies to hunting from an elevated position. Does this mean ground blind hunting with bow still has to abide by the 450ft rule?
reading comprehension.why is this confusing?
thats the point...if someones 200 ft from a house in a blind the digest should be specific on minimum elevation....someone could stick two pieces of plywood, is that elevated? It does not say how high you must elevate it.
Ok sorry, In the County park rules it says you can not hunt from the ground (GROUND BLIND) but must be elevated, they state a minumum of SIX feet.******* dont be a$$holes if u can help it.
. Anything anove ground level [hihi]Define elevated...
We are trying to determine what is the minimum height of elevation. If you are inside of 150' of the building you need to be elevated
I would think that 75u yards from a building hunting from a blind would fall under the 450ft rule and be in violation
I would say so after trying to help out and getting a shitblizzard back from this jerk.reading comprehension.
BingoIf you are inside of 150' of the building you need to be elevated and have written permission from the land owner. Outside the 150' you can hunt from the ground just make sure that your arrows don't impact into the safety zone. So if you are 200' from the building you can be in a ground blind, but I wouldn't shoot back towards the building or your arrow might impact into the 150' perimeter making it a safety violation.
This is from the NJ fish and game site. The way it reads, you do NOT have to be elevated within 450 feet. You only have to be elevated if you are closer than 150 feet. The minimum distance from an occupied building where a bowhunter may have a nocked arrow is now reduced from 450 feet to 150 feet. Carrying a bow with a nocked arrow within 150 feet of an occupied building or 450 feet of any school playground is prohibited. Any portion of the school grounds (including fields used for sports), that could be used for play or recreation, is considered to be part of a playground.
The owner or lessee of a building-and persons specifically authorized by the owner or lessee in writing (written permission must be in possession while hunting)-may hunt within 150 feet of the building. Persons authorized to hunt within 150 feet of a building must hunt from an elevated position to shoot down toward the ground. Shooting into a safety zone is prohibited.
