I have an awesome duck spot up here in the northern zone. Its just over a mile hike in but it is a honey hole. Found it a few years back while squirrel hunting. I've never been back there without seeing ducks. Woodies, mallards, teals etc. Some geese there too once in awhile. I've killed some back there before but all i ever had was my stamps as far as duck hunting supplies ha. I don't have decoys, calls or anything but never really had a problem killing ducks. If anyone wants to go and has some gear i'd be interested in sharing the spot to learn the "proper" way to duck hunt. Maybe even do some form of trade. Hit me up if anyone has any interest.

Yeah, the good old days when it was still private property. Get your limit everytime out and just pick the drakes you want to shoot. Pintails, gadwall, shovelers, on top of the teal and mallards. And the occasional divers too. But now 90% of those birds don't even nest there anymore, aahhh the joys of public land in NJ

If you catch the right day it is still ok. Ut gets hot when the ice starts to build but then retrieval is a bitch.

The P is completely burned. Place could have a lot of potential if there were no idiots out there shooting from the paths and skybusting. Heard it used to be out of this world to hunt. Now its just another Black river. Had a few good shots there, but won't waste the time anymore. Another public land spot burned by loose lips. They should do a special lottery hunt for that place and only let so many people hunt it 3 days a week like Cali does. That place would be world class until freeze up, but not going to happen in this state.
