no requirement you just have to make sure you are 150ft from a house with the bow and 450 ft with a gun. You can be closer if you have the home owners permission. Also you have to make sure that the deer will die on the property you are on otherwise you need permission to retrieve it on whatever property it drops on.

There's no minimum requirement but the two things that you must have are enough room to be outside the safety zones and having permission to recover deer. As long as you've got those two things satisfied, the huntability of your property really depends on the property itself. For example, my property is only 3.5 acres but I'm surrounded by hundreds of acres of hay fields and hardwoods. My property doesn't hold deer but they do pass through it. I have one hub area where a number of trails converge and deer pass through no matter which direction they are traveling. That is where I'm set up.

I beleive you may have to see if the community has a no discharge law...not sure tho. But I bet one of the lawyers on here can clear that up.

Uncle has a house in boonton and has property behind the house.
Town of Boonton has a no discharge law which includes bows. Boonton TWSP is OK. Make sure it's legal.

correction 150' and elevated (what ever that means)
Not so, only need to be elevated if hunting with written permission WITHIN the 150' safety perimeter, as per the way the hunting regulation is actually written ;)

First need to check town ordinaces for hunting and discharging an arrow or gun. In mendham Twp you can hunt private land but must have town permit first. So be careful and check first to see if any special regs exist.

Town of Boonton there is no discharge. In Boonton Township you should be ok as long as you have written permission to hunt within 150' from an elevated stand. I know it was written above by someone. I just wanted to repete it and to also mention that lands owned by Boonotn Township have all been posted "No Hunting" several years ago. Just be careful of where exactly you are hunting and have your azz covered just in case. Good luck. If you have any questions send me a PM. I am familliar with that area.

...Correct.

If you have written permission you don't need to worry about 150' just make sure all neighbors are far enough away and sign permission slip. 150 pertains to general hunting on say state land not private. check pg27 As far as eleveted just be higher than the area your hunting ie: you can't hunt the side of a hill but a chair on top of it will elevate you. Hey Paul I believe the 150 and elevated would pertain to say me hunting on WMA at say 150/151 feet If I have permission to be on their property and not within 150 of anyone elses than I can do as I please. so to speak.

I have read that rule 100's of times and have never seen/caught that, I like the way it reads now LOL.

Like you said it only states that you have to be elevated if within 150' not if you are hunting between 450' and 150'
