Jake in his prime.. He was a large sized Chesapeake Bay Retriever averaging 120 lbs who was amazingly loyal and always protective of our property and our family.. Lyme disease finally took its toll on him. He could barely get around the last few months. The stories of his fearlessness and loyalty could fill a book. He once chased a bear that was 2 feet from my son when my son was not even 2 years old. He put the bear to the other side of the street up the hill and into a tree.. The bear was around a 500 pounder and was literally less then 2 ft and heading right to my son.
Big Jake.. I owe you buddy you will be missed severely.. Rest in peace my friend!!
