I wish my 8 yr old boy got as fired up your lil guy, I have had him out in the woods since he was 3, got him a Rem. 20 ga., Diamond Razor Edge compound, camo, etc., but all he wants to do is play these stupid ass video games![down] Dont know where I went wrong, I guess I shuda never let him play those things but it seems like a lota kids do. If I had to do it over again, I would not allow video games in the house!!! Its too late now tho, hes addicted and now the 5 yr old is hooked too!

I have the same issue as we probably all do. I just try to regulate how much he plays.

Remeber hunting and fishing is kind of a slow sport to kids. Not much action until the critical moments.

One thing I try to do is make target shooting fun. Either prizes or some $$ for hitting groups or even shooting at water ballons so things blow up.

My guy is shy about guns and the boom that go with them. So he likes archery more. Figure that is OK and he will tackle other stuff as he gets older.
