Had a after noon trip today in the heat with tdaly,joe987,john and his buddy joe , it was flat out brutal we all met at the boat at 3pm and loaded the boat, we took a long ride to the grounds that been holding for me this week,it was game on from the minute we stopped the boat, we had nonstop action with 2-4 guys hooked up nonstop the entire trip, the first 2 drifts were all shorts then we hit them in the stick and they were screaming dead fish often. Tom had his limit joe followed up with 7 and john and joe were on the board with some very nice fish. A lot of fish over 20" mark and in the short time we fished they put 23 dead fish in the box. This was a great trip and they all busted balls and laughed the entire trip. We all had a case of heat stroke by the end and suffered but they got it done and done well. Great crew today and these guys can fish. Can't tell you how many rigs they lost but it was up there.

The first fish joe hooked he asked where most fluke are hooked ,meaning jig or top hook, I opened my mouth and said most will always be on high hook, well you know what happened, first time I ever seen it , most keepers were on the jig, and I had to hear it all night long, lol. These guys came to fish and suffered high winds big swells and the heat. The water changed eevery half hour

WAy to put em on the fish!! I might have to charter your boat soon I did a few drifts in my yak around Barnegat inlet I couldent land anything all there were was blues around but I was lookin for the flatties . I was bucktailing for a bit then swithed over to live bait rig. NOTHING. got a good work out of it but thats about it. the fog dident help either this was at 6 am yesterday morning not to safe in the yak in dence fog. had to wait till it burned off a bit by then it was just about slack tide so that dident help much. lookin to go out side heard thats were that at now in my area.

Charlie always has rods bending and doesn't laugh "too much" at my hook setting Thanks for a great trip
when I first fluked with Chuck I had no idea what I was doing(still really don't but that's besides the point) he would watch my rod bounce and ask me "you going to catch that fish or you want me to do it?"

My hook setting isn't the best either,I cant seem to time it right,I look like an epileptic starting to seizure..Ha.. good times
