i just love the big racks[rofl][rofl].i get pumped everytime i see a deer coming in. doesnt matter what or how big or small. i get a rush and start tingling everytime. i hunt for this rush. its a great way to unwind from work and deer meat is always a plus. just love being out in the woods with nature[up][up][up][up]

I am 22 years old and still looking for my first deer. I was very limited to the times I could get out due to school. I had one legitimate shot during a youth hunt when I was 14 when I put my sights on my first deer and pulled the trigger only to find out the firing pin was broke. Last year I got into bow hunting and the first two times out saw a doe and a small 4 pointer but was unable to get off a shot so hopefully this fall I can experience what all you guys have been talking about.

Welcome MOSC!

You came to the right place. Lots of good advice here.

im still trying to find a nice buck to get me really pumped for fall bow hearing what maximus posted about a 140+ gets me pumped just knowing there are a few out there if you do your scouting and home work gives me hope but i still get pumped for opening day regardless the tradition of doing what me and my brothers have done for over 30 years shooting the bow(practice) stand prep etc its all fun

With 2 young daughters and a very demanding career in the music business it's all about peace and quiet for me. Plus, I got access to 160 acres in Flemington and will be trying my luck with my new Hoyt. Other than that it's all about having a safe and memorable season. and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE wear your safety harness!

A huge New Mexico bull elk on the ground! And if I don't get one the chance to hunt them is all I need to make it a great season. The sound of a big bulls bugle echoing in the dark of the a.m. before the sun breaks the horizon gives me goose bumps!

Opening day is great. Warm weather, watching everything wake up and just being outdoors is really amazing. I get excited just thinking about it.

The best part though is pulling into that parking lot I know so well, seeing a big truck that I instantly recognize, walking over to it, ripping the driver out of his seat and giving him a big hug to say hello because we haven't seen each other in too long. I love hunting with my buddy (the guy is practically family). It is the only time we really get to see each other anymore so it is time I look forward to.

In this way, every hunt is successful, whether there is a harvest or not.

I love watching the woods come to life and just sitting in my tree with no noise other than the woods for hours. Helps clear my mind of the daily grind. And I also have a lot of friends that I only see and talk to during hunting season. My dad has a friend for over 40 years they hunt and fish together a lot but neither one has ever stepped foot in each others house. So hunting season bring a lot of great things for me. It's in my blood deep and I love it. Also my wife says the house stays cleaner and I'm nicer when it hunting season [smoke]
