well, just got back from a 3/4 day trip on the Fisherman out of the Highlands. The morning bite was HOT, and for 3 hours it was non stop action. we were fishing right next to a claming boat, so you can pretty much guess why we had such good luck, it died down and the tide went out, we found a large school of blues, and fished them for awhile. Around noon, we basically did nothing, cause we couldnt find the fish.
In all, I caught 4 stripers, 3 shorts, and 1 keep which was 30" and 16 pounds. I limited out on blues, as did my father. several skates, rays, and sand sharks between the 3 of us. The largest fished boated today was 34LBS!!!!!! that thing was HUGE!!! I have several pics that i will post later, after i shower and take a nap!!!
Also, the Fluke bite was on good today. The boat "Angler" had 6 fish over 5lbs, and the biggest was 8lbs!! With this warm weather, the fluke fishing should be good for next weekend [up]
