went surf fishing with my buddies in hopes of catching a few stripers but we caught everything but stripers. 
...i caught 5 bluefish on spoons (lost 2 others that spit the hook while doing a nice tail dance), a sea robin on berkley shrimp bait, a 35 inch sand shark on clams, tangled with 2 mating horse shoe crabs, and my friends caught some blues, a skate, and a 40 inch sand shark. funny thing happened with my sand shark. we had a school of blues come in and then the action died down. i figured id take a 15 minute nap and dry off. i wake up and see my rod being slowly dragged into the water so i jump in 3 feet of water set the hook and reel the fish in. almost lost my rod ...it was very foggy and we only saw two undersized stripers caught by another fisherman (and the undersized stripers were kept [mad])...it was a good day for me because i learned how to fish surf better since ive only fished surf twice before. cant wait to have some shark steaks tomorow at the restaurant my bro works at [tasty]. they clean and cook them for me for free...
