I have a question for the guys that are saying he knew ware I was. How did he know? Did you leave the direction you went on a tree, your winshield.
I dont know a turkey hunter that when hearing a hen that wont go to see if she has a tom tagging along.
Most guys cant tell the differance between a hen and a hunter when they are calling.
Just my thoughts
Rick

what do you think this is Camden???
I think this is the state of NJ, I also think this is NJH where people post constantly about douchebags and scum hunters ambushing 'their ____' or 'their spot.' Nice try though comparing the woods to Camden, it only proves you did not get my point...moving on.

and i certainly am not naive...cuz just wondering, unless you know me personally how would you know if i had experiences on public land or not??
you are naive. If you would have read the OP you would have seen that by his account the guy who bushwhacked the turkey he was after did so supposedly knowing he was there, is that the kind of guy you want to 'confront?' If he is that bold and brazen why bother?

just bc you see im a "fawn" on the site doesnt mean i havent been hunting before.
unlike others I could give a s*** about someone's status or post count on here, and you know what? I been hunting a long time myself and still wouldn't confront another hunter over something like that. I don't care if it was Miss Manners that bushwhacked me, I am not going to bother. If it was a game code violation or a safety issue I would call a CO and let them handle it.

i have had plenty experience confronting trespassers on PRIVATE PROPERTY..never once been SHOT or SHOT someone.

oh my GOD!!! you had EXPERIENCE confronting PEOPLE?? that is AWESOME!!

how many of those you confronted shot an animal you were going to shoot? How many of them knew they were trespassing as opposed to those who made an honest mistake?

but if you can show me a case of someone being shot talking to a trespasser or other hunter maybe ill believe you
I believe bil made a comment about it happening in Wisconsin...and the OP wasn't talking about a trespasser so why are you?

I'm done with you now, you can go.

Once I was when turkey hunting in NYS I was working a bird that got henned up. I was trying to circle around the other side of the mountain he was on. This involved walking on a trail. As I went around a bend in the trail there was the tom right on the trail with two hens. I shot at the tom and missed only to find there was another hunter near by. I apologized up and down and learned that shooting at a tom you didn't call in is dangerous and unsportsmanlike. Luckily I didn't hit the guy. I will never do that again because calling in a bird is the only way to "be sure of your target and beyond".

You need to learn those things happen on poublic land, deal with it or stop hunting public land.

I'm glad I don't turkey hunt or fish in NJ rivers and streams or bird/deer-hunt on State Land. Who needs all this aggravation! [wallmad][wallmad]

Do A-Holes know that they are an A-Hole or are they clueless? I'd like to get an A-Hole's perspective so please share your insights for those of you on here that fit in that category.

Nice try though comparing the woods to Camden, it only proves you did not get my point...moving on.
obviously you didnt get my point either that people dont go around shooting others for shooting "their" animal. Also "moving on" (very clever btw[sleep]) i see no issue with confronting someone....no one in this thread was talking about going up to the guy and roughing him up, just simply addressing the issue at hand.

How many of them knew they were trespassing as opposed to those who made an honest mistake
you sound like you condone trespassing bc unless you're blind how do you have problems understanding posted signs every 10 yards or so??? in a instance this year a fellow club member approached a truck full of trespassers without getting shot but he must have been insane for doing so right[confused]

I'm done with you now, you can go.
that is really funny though trying to make yourself sound like you have any authority over me or control anything i do. that was good i like that[up][up][up][up][up][up] good day to you too. and i hope you catch the condescending sarcasm
